Mindful Valley Home is a combination of styles creating an eclectic farmhouse aesthetic. Materials like black metals, leather, warm tones, and woods follow the farmhouse style. Arches, multiple earth tone colors, and mid-century furniture make the space specialized to the clients’ personal preferences. Multiple colors are used to help with visual interest since the client’s sight is blurry and can dull colors. Contrast in colors of wall paint, flooring, and furnishings allow for high contrast to locate items easier, while transitional flooring also is a visual reference of different rooms. Central living space can be easily navigated by its rectangular walking path to help guide the client to certain areas of the house without confusion. Black trim and handles make locating the doors easier on the natural wood tone panel door. Smart home appliances are used throughout the home to help the client do everyday tasks independently. Lastly, task lighting and an abundance of windows and select clerestories allow light to be optimized for daily tasks. Window treatments and matte and satin finishes are used to help reduce glare for comfort. Overall, this space allows the client and his family to enjoy family time in their specialized home while allowing the client to have an independent lifestyle while he is at work alone.
