SAFE HAVEN
The darkest corners hold the brightest creatures.
The assignment was to create a poster representing the word "Ethereal". I wanted to create a moody, otherworldly atmosphere in my illustrations, so I began by working with color palettes from Baroque paintings. My first idea was to create a Garden of Eden scene. Then I thought of focusing on just one animal and incorporating it with nature. Lastly, I tried going for something more energetic with a Phoenix breaking through the clouds. Ultimately, I chose to go forward with the deer because I felt there was more room for creativity there.
